Family Reach Launches Refreshed Brand in Celebration of 30 Years of Impact
National nonprofit, Family Reach, unveils new website, refreshed brand identity, and awareness campaign focused on the financial side effects of cancer
BOSTON, MA — Family Reach, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping families overcome the financial side effects of cancer, announced the launch of its refreshed brand, website, and key national awareness campaign in celebration of the organization’s 30th anniversary.
The rebrand reflects Family Reach’s evolution over the last three decades and reinforces the organization’s commitment to addressing the often-overlooked financial realities families face during cancer treatment. Anchored by the new tagline, “Because cancer is hard enough,” the campaign aims to elevate awareness of financial toxicity and expand access to support for families nationwide.
Since 1996, Family Reach has provided financial assistance, education, and resource navigation to families navigating the financial burden that often accompanies a cancer diagnosis. These financial side effects often create ripple effects across every aspect of daily life—including housing, food access, transportation, utilities, and lost income.
This campaign brings these realities to the forefront through storytelling, educational content, patient experiences, and national awareness efforts designed to shift the conversation around cancer side effects.
“For 30 years, Family Reach has worked to ensure families don’t have to choose between treatment and basic necessities,” said Carla Tardif, Family Reach CEO. “This rebrand is more than a new look—it’s a clearer expression of who we are, what families face, and why this work matters. Cancer affects far more than physical health, and we believe it’s time the financial side effects of cancer receive the national attention they deserve because their lives depend on it.”
The refreshed Family Reach website, FamilyReach.org and the Financial Resource Center serve as a centralized hub for patient resources, educational tools, and ways to support families facing cancer.
As part of the anniversary celebration, Family Reach is excited to highlight patient, caregiver, healthcare provider, and supporter voices that have shaped the organization’s impact over the past 30 years.
“For 30 years, Family Reach has stood beside families facing cancer with compassion, dignity, and practical support,” said Joel Beetsch, Family Reach Board Chair. “This campaign will help us reach more families, honor their voices, and remind them they do not have to carry the financial burden of cancer alone.”
Family Reach hopes the campaign will amplify the need and be a strong reminder that support exists for the financial challenges that can come with treatment. Because cancer is hard enough.
