Family Reach announced that Rosie Cunningham has been promoted from Vice President of Strategy & Alliances to Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.

Over the course of her eight years at Family Reach, Rosie has led the expansion of the organization’s research efforts, spearheading the development of the first comprehensive white paper on financial toxicity and overseeing the analysis of Family Reach’s programs. This data has allowed Family Reach to highlight the link between financial distress and poor health outcomes, elevating a crisis impacting 600,000 cancer patients across the U.S.

Rosie has also played a key role in defining the organization’s strategic plan. Within this work she launched the Cancer Equity Initiative, which supports Black and Hispanic/Latinx patients, and cultivated new partnerships that allowed Family Reach to support more than 20,000 families in 2022.

“I’m so proud to have Rosie by my side in her new role as Chief Operating Officer,” says Family Reach CEO, Carla Tardif. “Her vision, leadership, and compassion were key to our explosive growth over the past eight years and will be crucial as we launch Family Reach’s next chapter. Together, I know we can remove the socioeconomic barriers between cancer patients and their treatment.”

As COO, Rosie will lead the teams responsible for scaling Family Reach’s programs and impact. Through collaboration with researchers and strategic partners across the cancer community, she’ll build a network dedicated to ensuring a better standard of healthcare, more equitable access to treatment, and higher survival rates.
