My role at Family Reach is: Program Manager. I facilitate financial grants for families with a child or parent with cancer by working alongside social workers at 9 partner hospitals across the country. In addition, I provide direct assistance to those in need outside of that partner hospital network. I enjoy getting to know the families that we help at special hospital events I coordinate, as well as local fundraising events throughout the year.
Family Reach inspires me because: I see first-hand the impact our grants have—it’s an immediate relief for families during a very stressful time.
The most unusual thing I’ve done for my job is: Once I drove 20 miles to a pharmacy to help facilitate a payment for a critical medication that a family couldn’t afford for their child.
When I’m not at Family Reach, you can find me: Spending time with my family.
Most people don’t know that I: Enjoy tending to my vegetable garden.
If I could spend the day with one person, past or present, it would be: Oprah Winfrey.
One item I’d like to check off my bucket list: A trip to the Greek Islands.
