My role at Family Reach is: My focus as a Partnerships Manager is to build and steward our corporate relationships outside of the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, I work with our affiliate manager to help grow our network of non-profit affiliates.
Family Reach inspires me because: The organization truly understands the needs of cancer patients and the non-medical challenges that can undermine access to treatment. My own experience with cancer truly opened my eyes to the difference that support of all kinds can make and I feel honored to put my energy towards helping others during this difficult time.
The most unusual thing I’ve done for a job is: I climbed a ladder to the top of a 185-foot bell tower at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Fifteen bells that collectively weigh 7.5 tons started playing right next next to me shortly after I reached the top!
When I’m not at Family Reach, you can find me: at summer music festivals in western MA, swimming at Walden Pond, painting in my apartment or wandering the MFA, reading in my favorite chair, or enjoying a beer garden around town.
Most people don’t know that I: love to cook–especially Puerto Rican food–and I secretly love cloudy/rainy days. The two go together quite well.
If I could spend the day with one person, past or present, it would be: It’s a tie between Frida Kahlo and Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter. Can I count the Carters as one person? They’re quite the team of humanitarians.
One item I’d like to check off my bucket list: Skydiving
