Vice President of Operations and Chief of Staff
My role at Family Reach is: Vice President of Operations and Chief of Staff. I oversee the finances, human resources, and all things technology for Family Reach.
Family Reach inspires me because: It is making a tangible difference in the lives of real families. I joined Family Reach thinking that I understood what the organization’s mission was, but words cannot define the full impact of Family Reach. Witnessing first-hand the financial and emotional challenges of families fighting cancer has been eye-opening, and the way in which Family Reach is able to step in to provide immediate relief is amazing.
The most unusual thing I’ve done for my job is: Riding my bike 40 miles in the NYC Five Boro Bike Tour with 32,000 other cyclists.
When I’m not at Family Reach, you can find me: Outdoors, most likely with my wife and dog. I absolutely love hiking, kayaking, biking, and lately, a little bit of running.
Most people don’t know that I: Was once struck by lightning. Technically, my car was struck by lightning while I was in it, but it’s still a great story.
If I could spend the day with one person, past or present, it would be: Martin Luther King, Jr. He is easily one of, if not the, most influential figures in recent US history.
One item I’d like to check off my bucket list: While I don’t have an official bucket list, hiking Machu Picchu has been at the top of my list for years now.
