Financial Planning Program Manager

My role at Family Reach is: Financial Planning Program Manager

Family Reach inspires me because: It is inspiring to see how Family Reach has a direct positive impact on so many families. Nobody plans for cancer, and I am proud to be a part of a team that supports families during these incredibly difficult times.

The most unusual thing I’ve done for my job is: While working at a marine science center, I helped manage their touch tanks which sometimes involved “supervising” the critters- making sure they weren’t going to eat each other (especially the new arrivals). There was one moon snail that wasn’t quite on board with that policy and needed some micro-management.

When I’m not at Family Reach you can find me: Exploring the outdoors, dog-sitting, going to game nights or trivia nights with friends, volunteering at a horse farm, or relaxing at home.

Most people don’t know that I: When I was 12 years old I auditioned to compete on the Animal Planet show “King of the Jungle.” The age requirement was 21, but that didn’t stop me from trying. I unfortunately didn’t make it past sending in my audition tape.

If I could spend time with one person, past or present, it would be: My mom. She unfortunately passed away from cancer when I was 18. She was always my go-to person and best friend.

One item I’d like to check off my bucket list: There are many! Most of them involve traveling. A specific one would be snorkeling! I love the ocean, and a lot of my work and education experience has involved marine science, but I have never been snorkeling!
