Family Reach Welcomes Steve Collis and Carla Tardif as Newest Board Members

Boston, MA – April 4, 2025 – Family Reach, a national nonprofit providing financial support to families facing cancer, proudly welcomes Steve Collis, Executive Chairman (and previous President and CEO) of Cencora, and Carla Tardif, Family Reach CEO, as its newest board members.
Collis brings decades of leadership in life sciences. During his tenure at Cencora, he tripled the company’s annual revenue and led a global expansion, growing its workforce to over 46,000 employees across 50 countries.
“Innovation is essential to driving long-term success,” said Collis. “It requires us to think big, act boldly, and stay focused on impact. I look forward to bringing that mindset to Family Reach, working together to improve access to treatment and help more families navigate the financial burdens of cancer.”
As the critical bridge between Family Reach’s daily operations and the vision for tomorrow, Carla Tardif joins the board to represent the organization’s mission and the current challenges impacting cancer patients. She will support the Governance, Development, and Finance committees.
“Leading Family Reach for the past 17 years has been the greatest honor of my career, and I’m thrilled to contribute as a board member in addition to my role as CEO,” said Tardif. “I’m looking forward to working alongside Steve and the rest of the board to address the financial crisis of cancer care.”
With Collis’s expertise in healthcare strategy and innovation and Tardif’s deep understanding of the cancer community, the board is equipped to realize a world where no family has to choose between their health and financial well-being.

About Family Reach
Family Reach is the only national nonprofit focused solely on helping people with cancer access food, housing, utilities, and transportation. Treatment requires more than medicine — families need a roof over their heads and food on their tables to survive. We work with patients, care teams, and community-based organizations to provide immediate and ongoing financial support for these basic needs. Together we’re challenging the systems that force people to choose between their health and their homes.
