Boston, MA – July 9, 2025 – Family Reach, a national nonprofit providing financial support to families facing cancer, is excited to welcome Bob Searle to its Board of Directors.

Searle brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit consulting as a Partner at the Bridgespan Group, where he focuses on helping organizations increase their impact and build strong leadership teams. In addition to authoring several articles and case studies on nonprofit management, he also created the pilot that developed into Leading for Impact®, a two-year consulting and capacity-building program for nonprofit executive teams.

Searle has been a trusted advisor to Family Reach for over a decade, offering strategic guidance and support. Now, as a board member, he will be even more involved as we expand our services to reach more people facing the financial burden of cancer.

“When I saw a demo of the Financial Resource Center, I knew Family Reach had created something with real potential to ease the financial stress of cancer on the scale it’s needed,” Searle shared. “I’m excited to be more involved with a mission I care about deeply.”

As a board member, Searle will help shape the strategy behind Family Reach’s growth.

“Bob brings immeasurable insights to help our team navigate and plan for major growth in the coming years,” shared Carla Tardif, CEO of Family Reach. “His expertise in nonprofit strategy and growth will be a fantastic complement to our existing board and our collective vision to scale.”

With Searle’s leadership, Family Reach is further poised to scale the Financial Resource Center and meet the growing needs of the cancer community.

About Family Reach

Family Reach is the only national nonprofit focused solely on helping people with cancer access food, housing, utilities, and transportation. Treatment requires more than medicine — families need a roof over their heads and food on their tables to survive. We work with patients, care teams, and community-based organizations to provide immediate and ongoing financial support for these basic needs. Together we’re challenging the systems that force people to choose between their health and their homes.
