Be a part of Boston’s Return to the Streets in 2021 with Reach Athletes

After going virtual in 2020, the Boston Marathon® is set to return to its historic course in fall 2021! Pending local, state and federal guidelines, the 125th Boston Marathon will be run on Indigenous People’s Day and Reach Athletes will once again run the historic course as part of their continued effort to remove the financial barriers that stand between cancer patients and their treatment.

Why Be a Reach Athlete?
Push the limits. Persist through the pain. Power forward. It’s what Reach Athletes do. It’s also what our cancer heroes and their families must do as they face months of uncertainty and devastating financial barriers. Their courage and strength inspire Reach Athletes to train, overcome obstacles, and keep moving forward. Think you have what it takes?

Family Reach is proud to be an official Partner of John Hancock in the Marathon Non-Profit Program

Family Reach is a national 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to removing the financial barriers that stand between cancer patients and their treatment. This includes losses in income, increased out-of-pocket expenses, and various socioeconomic factors that create disparities in the financial burdens families face. Through our solutions-oriented Financial Treatment Program, nationwide events, strategic partnerships, and generous community support, our ultimate goal is to ensure families do not have to choose between their health and their home.

This loss of income, coupled with increasing out-of-pocket expenses, makes it difficult for families to pay their everyday bills (think: mortgage, gas for the car, groceries, Wi-Fi, and so on). And that’s where Family Reach comes in!
