The Reach Athlete “Boston” Marathon Virtual Relay sent a clear message to cancer patients and their families: We see you, and we won’t give up that easily.
These cancer patients and their families are serving as inspiration for our 2020 Boston Marathon runners as they train for the big day.
With a combined passion for our mission and athletic endeavors, these Reach Athletes will run the 2020 Boston Marathon for Family Reach!
On April 15, 2019 nearly 30,000 runners will take on the 123nd Boston Marathon but only 5 incredible runners - Maria, Megann, Eric, Jon and Kristine - will be running on behalf of Family Reach through our official partnership with John Hancock’s Marathon Non-Profit Program.
On Monday April 16, Rusty Bilodeau will be running in our country’s most historic marathon, the Boston Marathon. This will be his second time running on behalf of Family Reach to raise money for families battling cancer. To help inspire our Reach Athletes during their training, we match them with one of our cancer-fighting heroes! It’s one of the many ways we love making donor - patient connections. Rusty is proudly running in honor of 15-year-old Camille, who has been fighting osteosarcoma, bone cancer, since she was 10 years old.
Our Reach Athlete team is full of passionate, fearless and downright driven runners, and we’re excited for you to meet them. They’ve set the bar high – raise $75,000 for families fighting cancer – but we’re confident they can reach it. Click here to help make that happen.
As Boston's Marathon Monday quickly approaches, we asked our runners a few questions to help our community get to know them!
